iStory, a new interactive children’s book app for the iPad, allows young readers to fully engage with each story they read through a series of auditory and visual interactions. For example, not only can a child watch bubbles appear on the pages of their storybook, but they can actually reach out and pop them.

Rather than another book reader on the iPad, each iStory book functions as its own app with its own icon – letting users easily find and launch the books their kids currently enjoy reading directly from one of the iPad’s home screens. With its new line of stories now available in the iTunes App Store, children will stay connected for hours with entertaining and educational stories that teach valuable life lessons.

Produced by Apps of All Nations LLC, the fun and engaging format of iStory encourages children to spend more time reading. The child can choose to listen to the voice of a narrator or read the story aloud themselves, and follow along with the storybook’s animation on their iPad. Reading stories with iStory is a more engaging way for children to read than traditional books as it allows them to connect with the stories through touch screen animation, stimulating their imagination and motivating them to continue reading.

Founder of Apps of All Nations LLC and iStory creator, Isabelle Duston began designing her own applications in 2009, with the popular cooking application, iCooking. An entrepreneur with an MBA from ESCP Europe, Duston speaks five languages and is no stranger to international relations, which is why iStories often feature international characters to encourage the acceptance of diversity.

The newest iStories include “Chico to the Rescue” and “Philippe’s Wish,” which teach children the importance of adventure, curiosity, and making new friends. A mother herself, Duston understands the importance of creating stories that instill important values and teach valuable lessons. Also available are “Hopus,” “Bobo the Elephant,” “The Dog Detective: An Outback Odyssey,” and the free “Who am I?”, plus a collection of stories created in collaboration with Brighter Minds Media. The company works with an international team of writers and artists which give the stories a cultural richness and diverse authenticity.

“The iStory line of children’s books are delightful for kids to read, and teach valuable lessons such as the importance of accepting those who may be different, but of course what really sets them apart is the fun and interactive aspect of the books which children just find fascinating,” says Duston. “Our team of writers, artists and programmers have done a phenomenal job of creating a series of iStories that will make children anxious to read and we hope parents will appreciate how their amazing iPads can be used to help educate and entertain their children.”
