Expert Tips to Protect Computer or Smartphone Data in Hot Weather

24 Hour Data Recovery Service Says Protect Data In the Record Heat This Summer - Avoid the need for 24 Hour Data Recovery Services by protecting your data from high temps this summer.

The entire country is facing record high temperatures this summer, with 1,479 daily records for highest temperatures broken in various parts of the country. Abilene, Tex., holds the record for the most 100-degree days, with 47 through the end of July. And we've just hit August, the so-called “dog days” of summer.

Expert Tips to Protect Computer or Smartphone Data in Hot Weather

You don't need a data recovery expert to tell you that heat is bad for electronics. That's why laptop and desktop PC computers and Macs have cooling fans, and computers and servers should always be run in an air-conditioned environment during the summer.

Computers and servers not only give off their own heat, they can fall victim to outside temperatures, as well. Typically, the larger a computer component -- such as a RAID server -- the more heat it gives off, so proper cooling measures become even more important.

“101, 102, 104... These hot temperatures are no joke to business owners, entrepreneurs, and busy families who store their entire lives on their PC, MacBook, netbook or smartphone,” says 24 Hour Data owner Sean Wade. 24 Hour Data is a full-service, 24-hour expert data recovery company based in Plano, Texas, and serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the entire U.S.

Improved HDD Mechanics Hard Drive Recovery Tool with Extra File Formats

Improved HDD Mechanics Hard Drive Recovery Tool with Extra File Formats: Recovery Mechanic Labs announces the update of HDD Mechanics enables comprehensive recovery for dozens new file formats by extending PowerSearch support to new types of files. In addition, the same types of files can now be previewed in pre-recovery mode. The total number of supported file formats now reaches 230.

Hard Drive Recovery Tool

Technical Background

HDD Mechanics offers basic and comprehensive data recovery modes. In basic mode, the tool can recover folders and all types of files. The basic mode, however, is limited to relatively healthy disks that still have a file system (FAT or NTFS) still available. This is not always the case.

If the file system is no longer available on the disk, or if it’s damaged severely, the company offers comprehensive recovery mode to locate missing information. The comprehensive recovery mode is enabled by PowerSearch, the company’s proprietary signature-search algorithm. PowerSearch scans the entire hard drive in order to locate missing files by matching information it reads from the disk against a database of recognizable file formats. Naturally, the more formats are recognized, the more types of files can be

Raid Recovery Tool Now Supports 230 File Types

Raid Recovery Tool Now Supports 230 File Types: Raid Labs announces the release of Raid Recovery, an update of a popular Windows tool to recover all types of RAID arrays with or without the original RAID controller present. Raid Recovery gets an update of its trademarked data recovery engine which now supports the recovery of more than 230 types of files, a leap forward compared to 150 types of files supported by prior versions. All newly added formats are fully supported including the support of company’s signature Live Preview, a feature allowing instant preview of recoverable files.

Raid Recovery Tool

About Raid Recovery

Raid Recovery is designed to allow Windows users recovering dismantled, damaged or corrupted RAID arrays even if the original RAID controller is not present in the system. The tool is able to re-create RAID arrays of all types, and supports most types of RAID arrays, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 0+1, and JBOD (span). Raid Recovery supports most dedicated and all built-in RAID controllers. Arrays created with RAID controllers built into Intel, NVIDIA, and VIA motherboards are supported, as well as Microsoft Dynamic Disks. The RAID recovery tool supports all editions of FAT and NTFS file systems, and works in all versions of Windows including Windows Vista, Windows 7, and 2008 Server.

Apart from technologies allowing Raid Recovery to reassemble dismantled RAID arrays, the core of the tool is its data recovery engine called PowerSearch. The engine applies advanced techniques in order to locate and recover many types of files spread over multiple disks comprising RAID arrays. PowerSearch relies on a database of recognized file formats in order to identify, locate and recover those files. The more information the database contains, the more types of files Raid Recovery can successfully restore.

The new version of Raid Recovery features an updated engine. The updated data recovery engine now recognizes more than 230 types of files, a leap forward compared to the previous version that could only recognize about 150 file types.
