Top 10 Best Quality and Best Value Juicers for 2012
10Rate announces its Top 10 Juicers for 2012 | Breville and Jack Lalanne Win Best Quality and Best Value Awards - 10Rate.com editors and reviewers rate and review the 2012 best juicers on a scale of 1 to 10
10Rate reviewers and staff selected 10 of the best juicers for 2012, assigning each a numerical rating as well as awarding three models that stood out for quality, value, and budget. Testing and consideration for this Juicer Top 10 list was given based on this set of seven criteria:
1. How much juice it yields
2. Pulp dryness (indicating minimal food waste)
3. Ease of cleaning
4. Whether the feed tube fits whole produce
5. Noise and vibrations
6. Motor power
7. Price and value
The annual Best Juicer 2012 awards list was headed by the Breville 800JEXL, winning the Best Quality spot and a 9 out of 10 rating. The review mentioned several strengths of the juicer, noting that it “has a 1,000-watt motor that extracts the most juice from foods, leaving whatever pulp is left very dry. With a three-inch circular feed tube, you can stick in whole carrots, tomatoes, apples, and oranges with little prep work chopping or cutting them into smaller pieces. There are two speeds to choose from, the faster one operating at 13,000 rpm. In the end, clean up is a breeze, and all the parts are safe for the dishwasher.”
10rate's editors also gave the Best Value Juicer award to the Jack Lalanne PJP in the third place spot. With a respectable rating of 8.5 out of 10, the review boasted, “Its durable stainless steel blade and filter are durable and get the juicing job done quickly. A benefit that metal juicers have over the cheaper plastic models is that they aren’t stained over time by beets and carrots; this juicer is easy to wipe clean and its parts come apart easily to go in the dishwasher.”
