Backpack Solar Laptop Charger from Voltaic Systems

Voltaic Launches Backpack Solar Laptop Charger - Two new solar laptop chargers, the Array and Fuse 10W, are available today. Each power up to 30 minutes of laptop runtime for every hour in the sun.

Voltaic Systems redefines the meaning of mobile computing with the launch of its two new solar laptop chargers, the Array and Fuse 10W. The Array is a rugged backpack and the Fuse 10W is designed to attach easily to other backpacks and bicycle racks. Both provide ample clean and renewable power for the demands of today’s portable electronics.

Created for workers and adventurers who travel far from power outlets, but still need to stay connected, the Array and Fuse 10W provide up to 30 minutes of laptop runtime for every hour in the sun. In addition to powering most modern laptops, they will also charge most tablets, professional digital cameras, and smartphones. When the sun is unavailable, the internal battery holds enough power to more than double the runtime on many laptops. The battery can also be re-charged from the included wall charger.

“Since we launched the first solar backpack in 2004, the number one customer request has been to make a backpack that charges laptops,” said Shayne McQuade, CEO of Voltaic Systems. “With the Array and Fuse 10W, we are giving our customers two great portable charging options.”

Voltaic is also launching the V60 Universal Laptop Battery, which provides backup power for laptops, tablets and smartphones.

10 Watts of Power for Fast Charging
Integrated into the front of the Array and Fuse 10W are three 3.4-Watt solar panels. Run times will vary by laptop, but these high-efficiency monocrystalline cells will power a MacBook Air for 30 minutes after 60 minutes in direct sun. The cells are encased in a clear, UV and scratch resistant coating, and backed by a rigid aluminum composite material. These rugged panels are waterproof and built to withstand the abuse of everyday use.

Solar Charger and Case for iPad - Spark Solar Tablet Case

Voltaic Launches Solar Charger for the iPad - The Spark Solar Tablet Case charges tablets and other handheld electronics from solar power and its included universal battery.

Voltaic Systems opened up opportunities for grid-free computing with the launch of its iPad solar charger, the Spark Solar Tablet Case.

Solar Charger and Case for iPad - Spark Solar Tablet Case

Perfect for mobile workers and global travelers, the Spark provides one hour of iPad video playback for every hour in direct sunlight. In addition, it will charge the Blackberry Playbook, T-Mobile G-Slate, Samsung Galaxy Tab, the ASUS Transformer and most handheld electronics. When sun is unavailable, the internal battery can fully charge an iPad. The battery can also be re-charged from a wall or car charger.

“Voltaic set out to design a lightweight case that could charge a tablet quickly, but also match the sleekness and simplicity of the many of the tablets,” said Shayne McQuade, CEO of Voltaic Systems. “The Spark Solar Case is a powerful and compact way to carry and charge an iPad.”

Voltaic is also launching the Spark's internal battery as a standalone product. The V39 USB Battery provides backup power for iPads, other tablets and smartphones.

8 Watts of Power for Fast Charging
On the front of each case are four two-Watt solar panels. Solar charge times are determined by the total area and efficiency of the solar cells -- the Spark uses high-efficiency monocristalline cells which will charge an iPad from about 10 hours of sunshine. The cells are encased in a clear, UV and scratch resistant coating. The rugged panels are waterproof and built to withstand the abuse of everyday use.

High Output, Dual-Port Battery
Many tablets, including the iPad, can charge quickly from high-powered USB ports which output 2 Amps, four times the current of a standard USB port. The Spark’s internal battery has 39 Watt-hours of capacity and both a high-powered USB port for tablets and a standard USB port for phones and other handheld electronics.

Power for Digital Cameras
Fast charging for a tablet also means fast charging for professional DSLR cameras. Users can connect a car charger cradle for their camera battery to the solar output of the Spark. Compatible with both 3.7 and 7.4 Volt camera batteries.

Protective and Lightweight Case
The Spark case is fully padded and lined for a snug and soft fit. It can be held by its handle, carried using the removable shoulder strap, or placed inside a backpack or other bag.

Key features and specifications of the Spark Solar Case include:
+ 8 Watts solar power, switchable between 6 and 12 Volts – panels available in silver or charcoal
+ 39 Watt hour battery with low-power and high-power USB ports
+ Charging cable with 5 standard adapters to connect to most handheld electronics
+ 13.5" high x 10.5" wide x 2" inches
+ About 2.5 pounds including solar panels and battery
+ Waterproof fabric manufactured from recycled PET

USB Solar Charger for Small Electronic Gadgets and Gaming Devices

Introducing the Latest in USB Solar Charging from Suntactics - Powerful Compact Solar Charger for iPod, iPhone, Droid, Blackberry, Palm and most all small electronic gadgets including GPSs, eReaders, and portable gaming devices. It can run and charge a device at the same time.

USB Solar Charger for Small Electronic Gadgets and Gaming Devices

Introducing the latest in USB solar charging from Suntactics. This is not an ordinary small solar charger. The PC5 uses high efficiency solar cells like the ones used in industrial grade solar systems. No other small solar charger that we have found can match the same solar energy output in such a small package.

This PC5 USB solar charger has the ability to run and charge a USB device without any backup batteries.

Very common to other solar charger designs is the use of an internal built-in battery. They use a small solar panel to trickle charge this battery. Once this battery has a charge after some hours or even days, the dead USB device can finally be charged from the battery.
