Matrox Graphics Inc. today announced that the Matrox DualHead2Go DP Edition and TripleHead2Go DP Edition are now compatible with the latest Apple® MacBook® Pro notebooks featuring the new Thunderbolt™ port. Developed by Intel® and brought to market with technical collaboration from Apple, the high speed I/O port sets a new standard for high performance peripherals. DualHead2Go DP and TripleHead2Go DP are already the preferred multi-display solutions of many Mac® users.

With a simple Matrox firmware update, these solutions can also be used to achieve unprecedented dual- and triple-monitor performance including OpenGL® support on the new Thunderbolt-enabled MacBook Pro. The new software release will also add the 2x1400x1050 multi-projector resolution to the already comprehensive supported resolution list.

Matrox Graphics Inc. today announced a new software release for the Matrox Extio F2208 dual-monitor and Matrox Extio F2408 quad-monitor KVM extenders. The comprehensive package enables a variety of new multi-display configuration opportunities that includes support for two PCIe interface cards, main units and Extio F2408E Expander boxes to drive up to 16 displays—plus keyboard, mouse, audio and up to eight additional USB 2.0 ports—at a distance of up to 1 km from a single PC. The second generation Extio KVM extenders offer expanded Microsoft® Windows® operating system support, while the new configuration and diagnostic utilities allow users in process control, operations control centers, emergency dispatch, and other mission critical environments, to effortlessly monitor, manage, and/or upgrade their Extio appliances at the BIOS or operating system level.

Matrox Announces New High-Performance KVM Extender for Mission-Critical Environments - Matrox Extio F2408 drives four high-resolution displays, delivering uncompromised performance up to 1 kilometer from the host PC

Matrox Graphics Inc. today announced the launch of the Matrox Extio F2408, the latest remote graphics solution that separates up to four high resolution displays plus USB keyboard, mouse, and other HIDs from the host system by up to 1 kilometer (3280 feet) of fiber-optic cable. Building on the success of the existing Matrox Extio product line, the Extio F2408 unique bus extension technology guarantees full HD resolution support and uncompromised workstation performance at the operator station.
